Pulse is a brow pigment line created by PMU artist Julie Kim in collaboration with Hanafy. It consists of five hybrid shades for machine work, from a soft neutral blonde to a near-black neutral brown. The palette is built so that every shade can be used straight from the bottle, and it works together with the existing Hanafy pigments. Below you will find each shade, who it suits and how it heals.

Julie Kim is a PMU artist known for precise brow work and techniques such as Wispy Nano Brows. She teaches and speaks internationally, and created Pulse with Hanafy to give artists a compact, reliable brow palette.

For clients with grey, blonde or light brown hair and fair skin. Heals neutral and blends behind light brow hairs for a natural, almost invisible result.

No.2 Cappuccino: Classic Neutral Brown
A versatile neutral light-to-medium brown. Use it on its own or layer it over No.1 Chai Latte for more depth. Suits fair to medium complexions with green or brown eyes.

No.3 Pumpkin Spice: Warm Balanced Brown
The warmest brown in the collection. Designed to heal to a soft, neutral finish on cooler or olive skin tones, and useful for adding warmth to other shades during colour adjustments.

No.4 Café Mocha: Bold Neutral Brown
A rich, intense brown for clients with dark brown hair and neutral eye colours. It is not cool by nature, but oversaturation can make it heal slightly cooler, so warm it with No.3 Pumpkin Spice or an orange corrector.
Fitzpatrick: 3-4
No.5 Americano: Neutral Dark Brown
The deepest shade: a near-black brown that stays neutral in the skin with correct depth and saturation. For bold, high-impact brows, especially on deeper skin tones. Add No.3 Pumpkin Spice for extra warmth.

Tips for working with Pulse
- Start from the client's hair colour and skin phototype. Our guide Choosing a brow pigment by skin phototype explains how.
- Layer No.2 Cappuccino over No.1 Chai Latte when light brows need one soft step of extra depth.
- Café Mocha can heal slightly cooler when oversaturated. Add a little No.3 Pumpkin Spice or Hanafy Corrector No.1 Bright Orange to keep the healed result warm.
- Americano stays neutral when it is implanted at the correct depth and saturation. For a softer, warmer finish, blend it with No.3 Pumpkin Spice.
